There is a new application of United States in the Android market that allows you to stream Premium TV and movie content to your Android phone, and is called Hulu Plus. What is approaching, and what it means for us in the United Kingdom? We have more closely.
Hulu to him?
Hulu is a service of aggregation of video subscription that allows you to transmit your content to different devices, including consoles, online HD TVs, Blu-Ray players, teams, and each of the iDevices for Apple and ad-based.
Now six Android devices can be added to that list: Nexus One, Nexus S, Inspire 4 G HTC, Motorola Droid 2, Motorola Droid X and Motorola Atrix. Hulu has promised to add more devices to the list as the year passes.
What service itself? For only $7.99 (on a ticket mass UK) a month Hulu Plus lets you watch TV United States ABC, Fox and NBC networks; Classic series full access; and watch movies from Miramax and the criterion collection. In addition, programs being on multiple devices can resume: might as well start an episode of the Office (American) on your TV and continue on the bus to work (Yes: work 3 G).
You can also use your Android device to search for programs and establish the visualization programming remotely. Well, I'm saying 'you', but as I mentioned in the introduction, Hulu is another service of United States, which leaves us Brits in the cold. What chance is there of us watching any Hulu action in the future?
Hulu hoopla
Quite reasonable, in fact, although there have been one or two hitches along the way. Plans to launch the service in the United Kingdom hit a snag last year when UK broadcasters failed to reach an agreement with Hulu. The Telegraph reported at the time, Hulu not could reach an agreement with ITV due to their own plans with the ITV player, while that Channel 4 and 5 were apparently willing to allow Hulu to sell advertising space in its programming (which is how it works in the United States service).
Despite this setback, however, an article in the Financial Times in a couple of months later revealed that Hulu "has identified the United Kingdom and Japan as two markets where its model of subscription and free site could work inevitably." As Chief Executive Jason Kilar, business objectives beyond the United States: "will not be satisfied until this is a global service," said.
This would be the case, you feel, if rumors of an acquisition of Yahoo were some. According to a report by Business Insider earlier in the week, "Hulu has hired Morgan Stanley and Guggenheim partners to assist with your sale", and Yahoo says that for the first time in the queue. It would be a company with such resources and global reach, sit, eager to expand service Hulu beyond us borders and could have more the weight required to speak of UK broadcasters.
We hope, like watching Mad Men season one 3 g while waiting for the absolute heaven sounds bus.
